North Regina Little League uses a two tier system of play in most age groups:

  • T-Ball (age 4)
  • Junior Rookie (ages 5 & 6)
  • Senior Rookie (ages 7 & 8) which are divided into “A” (machine pitch) and “AA” (player pitch)
  • Minor (ages 9 & 10) divided into “A” and “AA” divisions in accordance with skill levels
  • Major (ages 11 & 12) divided into “A” and “AA” divisions in accordance with skill levels
  • Junior (ages 13 – 14) divided into “A” and “AA” divisions in accordance with skill levels
  • Senior (ages 15 – 16)
  • Big League (ages 17 – 18)
  • Challenger (ages 4 – 18) is specifically designed for mentally and physically challenged children and NRLL operates the Challenger Division on a City wide basis as NRLL is the only league offering this program in Regina.

Our “Learn to Play” divisions are the best way to teach our young ones the basics of baseball while having fun and meeting new friends.  Every player receives a team t-shirt and a baseball cap.

T-Ball (Age 4)

  • Entry-level developmental division with emphasis on learning to participate in a structured and organized environment.
  • Teams play once a week.
  • Game time slots are divided into a practice session and a game.
  • a T is used for players to bat from using a soft baseball.
  • All players are fielded, and all players bat.

Junior Rookie (Ages 5 & 6)

  • Entry-level developmental division with emphasis on learning to participate in a structured and organized environment.
  • Teams play 14 games and a playoff tournament.
  • Game time slots are divided into a practice session and a game.
  • Umpires pitch using a soft baseball.
  • All players are fielded, and all players bat.

Senior Rookie (Ages 7 & 8)

  • Slightly more advanced with emphasis on further skill development.
  • This age group is tiered into AA & AAA divisions.
  • Teams play 14-16 games and a playoff tournament.
  • Senior Rookie AA is machine pitch using a soft baseball.
  • Senior Rookie AAA is player pitch using a soft baseball.
  • Regular positions are fielded and all players bat.

Minor & Major (Ages 9 – 12)

These divisions divide into AA & AAA teams based on the level of the players. Uses a 60-foot diamond with pitching distance set at 46 feet. Both of these divisions features a full range of tournament play, with Major allstars play in tournaments to go to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Minor (Ages 9 & 10)

  • At this level, children are playing 12-man baseball.
  • Teams play 14-16 league games and at least two tournaments including playoffs.
  • Player’s skills are evaluated in order to determine which tier they will play in as well providing the coaches with ratings on each player.
  • Based on the evaluation ratings, teams are drafted by the coaches.
  • All players are eligible to tryout for allstars 

Major (Ages 11 & 12)

  • Teams in both divisions play 14-16 league games as well as at least two tournaments including playoffs.
  • Player’s skills are evaluated in order to determine which tier they will play in as well providing the coaches with ratings on each player.
  • Based on the evaluation ratings, teams are drafted by the coaches.
  • All players are eligible to try out for All Star play.

Junior (Ages 13 & 14)

Uses an 80-foot diamond with pitching distance set at 60 feet 6 inches.

  • Player’s skills are evaluated in order to determine which tier they will play in, as well as providing the coaches with ratings on each player.
  • Based on the evaluation ratings, teams are drafted by the coaches.
  • Teams in both divisions play 14-16 league games as well as at least two tournaments including playoffs.
  • All players are eligible to try out for All Star play.

Registration Fees

T-Ball: $50.00

Junior Rookie: $100.00

Senior Rookie: $120

Minors: $150

Majors: $175

Juniors: $200

Senior: $250

Big League: $250

An additional $24 will be acharged for raffle tickets. When you sell the books, you keep the money. All books MUST be turned in.

PLEASE NOTE: We have not been able to transfer data from last year into this data base. You will need to create a new login for your family this year but not in subsequent years. Next year and onward, the same login will continue to work and your child (or children) will remain listed in the system. Only updates will be needed.
